Valentine's Day Greeting Card Making Idea and Instructions

This hand made Valentine's Day greeting card can be made using your alphabet and background design rubber stamps. A square background stamp was used for the base of the heart squares and the word "Love" was stamped using an inexpensive set of alphabet rubber stamps. The color scheme of the card can easily be changed by using a craft paper in a different color.

Supplies:

Plain cream colored greeting card, any size

Pink and cream cardstock and 1 page pink designed paper

"Love" rubber stamp or lettered stamps to spell out "love"

Heart rubber stamp

Square pattern stamp

Red embossing powder

Heat embossing tool

Clear embossing ink pad

Glue stick

Heart brad or embellishment

Pink ink pad

Paper Trimmer or Scissors

Instructions:

1. Start by measuring and cutting the pink design paper to fit the front of the card. Adhere the paper to the front of the card.

2. Take a strip of cream cardstock and rip both sides horizontally.

3. Stamp the word "love" in the center of the torn piece of cream cardstock. Adhere cream piece to the bottom of the card (see picture).

4. Ink the square background stamp with pink ink and stamp the cream cardstock with three square stamps.

5. Ink the heart stamp with the embossing ink and stamp over the square stamps. Apply the embossing powder and heat until powder is set.

6. Cut out the squares and mat them on the plain pink cardstock. Adhere to the front of the card (see picture above).
