Fall Foliage Card

Supplies:

  • Plain cream colored greeting card, any size
  • Cream and brown cardstock
  • Long stamp (I used a row of pumpkins)
  • 2 medium sized leaf stamps (different designs)
  • 4 eyelets (I used a bronze colored eyelet)
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Gold embossing powder
  • Embossing stamp pad
  • Embossing heat tool
  • Brown stamp pad
  • Red, orange, green and brown craft chalk

Instructions:

1. Start with red chalk and lightly dust small patches onto the front of the card. Do the same thing with the orange, brown and green chalk to create a "tie dye" chalk effect.

2. Next, using the embossing stamp pad and the leaf stamps, stamp the whole card spacing the leaves out as seen in the photo on top of this page. Pour on gold embossing powder and dust off excess. Heat with embossing heating tool until powder has formed into a gold border.

3. Cut a rectangle out of the brown cardstock. Tear the bottom and top borders. Cut a smaller rectangle from the cream cardstock (you will be matting the cream over the brown) and tear the top and bottom borders of that as well. Adhere the cream cardstock to the brown as seen in the photo above.

4. Stamp the cream cardstock with your choice of stamp. I used a pumpkin stamp on my card. Color in the stamped image with chalk.

5. Adhere the brown/cream cardstock onto the front/center of the card. Finally, attach eyelets using an eyelet set on each of the four corners of the rectangle.
